As a high schooler, Ju I Jae dreamed of becoming a filmmaker, pushing aside other obligations to create her own short films. Her classmate Woo Su Bin, on the other hand, was studious but passionless, resigned to following his family's wishes. Su Bin found inspiration in I Jae’s tenacity, and the two developed a friendship that later turned romantic. However, shortly after their college entrance exams, Su Bin withdrew from I Jae’s life, telling her that his family was sending him overseas.
